George Washington...

Just a funny story from this week...

Background...Ashley is not generally known for getting things right away. We do know all our colors now, I think that took about 6 months. And more recently thanks to preschool she knows all of her letters, most of the time. Also, Brinkley has been learning about money at kindergarten.

So the other day I told Brinkley I would give her a dollar if she would watch Colter while I helped Tom in the yard. A whole dollar if I came back in and he was still safe and happy. Later when we were driving in the car I gave her the dollar and she said who's on it? George Washington... We say yes, that's right. Then Tom say's do you know who George Washington was? and she starts to think about it... In the mean time out of nowhere Ashley's voice pipes up like the perfect student and says "George Washington was the first president of the United States." Wow, shock and amazement from her parents. But it was such a proud moment!
