Tom was released from the Young Men's and was called to be... are you ready? the ward choir director. When they sustained him in church people were actually laughing. Probably mostly due to the shocked look on his face. Even his mom got a good laugh out of it. He's not super excited to do it, but I'm sure he will be fine when he gets going. He had to look in the back of the hymn book to see how to lead songs... does that tell you that you don't have to be qualified to do the work :) Anyway, his mom is a choir director and private voice teacher so at least he has someone to go to for help. He'll make it through.
I took on a new endeavor (like I needed one more thing in my life :)) when I decided to become a Mary Kay consultant. I'm just starting and need to get some volunteers to lend me their faces for practice. It's really fun to play with makeup and I just love their products, so I hope it will be a good experience. Otherwise we have been spending all of our time and money working on the yard. Tom got a load of boulders that he has been trying to push around the yard. I love them, they add so much. This weekend we put in more tree's and 2 dry river beds to help with water drainage from the house. It's starting to come together and It's really exciting to us that sometime we will be able to sit back there in the shade and watch the humming birds and smell the flowers. Someday...
Also, our little girls are starting school tomorrow which is both a blessing and a heart break. It will be so strange without them, but they are so excited to go and learn. I will post pictures later of their fist day... Wish em luck :)
