Wow, I use to be a lot better at blogging than I have been lately... Let's see what has happened lately?
Last Saturday Brinkley had a soccer Game, where she scored 2 goals and her team won. It was super fun. I did have to get after her a little for doing the nanner nanner thing to the other teams kids. She can be a stinker.
After her game we headed to St. George for Cambron's mission farewell. He gave an amazing talk and it was nice to see everyone. We also went to visit my Grandma Crabb and I offered to bring all her pictures home and get them put into a book for her. She has a hard time remembering who everyone is and so I wanted to label everything and make it easier for her. Monday night my family all got together to sort pictures and put it all together.
Tuesday while I was at another Mary Kay meeting... I came home to an interesting story. When I left for the meeting I stopped and got Brinkley off the neighbors trampoline, put her shoes on and and sent her walking down to our house for dinner. She wasn't happy because she said they were waiting for the ice cream truck (this is 6:00 at night, but whatever.) So apparently she didn't go home she went back to get her 5 quarters that were on the neighbors bench. When she found them missing, I'm sure she freaked out a little bit. One kid told her that another kid had taken them. So of course she goes to confront and ends up calling him a liar and spitting on him. (not a proud parent at that news) Tom was now walking up the street with Colter and Ashley to find Brinkley when he sees one kid knock Brinkley down on the sidewalk while the other one proceeds to beat the crap out of her.... punching and kicking as hard as he can. He was really afraid they were going to hurt her, so he's running up the street and yelling at the kid to stop. He tells the kid he shouldn't beat up on Girls and if he ever does it again he'll be in big trouble and Brinkley is never allowed to play up there again. The kid could seemingly care less.
Later that night the mom comes down and said the kid was hysterically upset because Tom yelled at him and now the dad is really angry at him to. Wait... wasn't their kid beating up on our kid... oh yea minor detail.
So anyway, Tom has talked to the mom a couple of times. He offered to apologize for yelling. And Brinkley said she was sorry for calling him a liar and spitting, but can you say Tension in the Neighborhood... Holy Cow.
Wednesday I went visiting teaching and visited a new family in the ward.
Thursday I was having a Mary Kay Party at my house. Yes, I had invited all the neighbor ladies. Some of which didn't come. I spent all day cleaning, setting up etc. I had 5 people come which was fabulous for me and we had a really fun time. At the end of the night, not 1 person bought anything... so I was a little frustrated.
Tonight is my Niece Oaklee's Birthday Party. She's 7 and wanted a football party. So we are having hot dogs and Root beer. Should be fun!
Tomorrow Brinkley has another soccer game. I love watching those little kids run around in a pack and chase the ball.
Then Sunday Tom will be holding his first Choir practice here at our house... He's nervous, but I think he will be fine.
If we can get through the rest of this week then I can see a little light at the end of the tunnel!
Jeez you need to take a break!!!!!!!!!
